BEIJING, June 17 – China announced its Olympic table tennis squad in a news conference of the State General Administration of Sports on Tuesday.

“Ma Lin, Wang Hao and Wang Liqin will play for the Men's team, while Guo Yue, Zhang Yining and Wang Nan will play for the Women's team,” Liu Fengyan, director of the National Table Tennis and Badminton Center of the State General Administration of Sports, told the press.

He also added, “The substitutes will be Chen Qi for the Men's team, and Li Xiaoxia for the Women's team.”

According to Liu, the Chinese table tennis Men's team will have a one-month training in Xiamen from June 21, while at the same time the Women's team is to take the practice run in Zhengding.

Name: Zhu Minyuan Sign: Ox Sport: Canoe/Kayak

Zhu Minyuan was born on December 5, 1985 and lives in Zhejiang Province, China. She began swimming training in 1994; then switched to kayaking in 1999. Five years later, Zhu became active in competition, showing a hearty enthusiasm and strong will. She finished the K-2, K-4 500m champion in the National Games and became the K-4 500m/200m winner of the Asian Championships.
